The Initiatives of Shine Well

On October 7th, 2022, Cleveland State University’s eighth President, Dr. Laura Bloomberg announced her new initiative for the University: Living Well Together, On Our Campus, In Our City. Within Dr. Bloomberg’s investiture, she announced the inclusion of our Shine Well program as part of her wellness initiative on campus:

“We will advance our essential work with an ignited passion for the wellbeing of the people and the communities we serve. When our relentless pursuit of learning and the creation of new knowledge is angled toward our collective wellbeing on our campus, in our beautiful city full of strong partners and allies, and surrounded by remarkable economic, civic and natural resources.

We draw ever closer to achieving emotional, physical, environmental, social, and spiritual wellbeing for all of us.”

Upcoming Events

Cavs vs kings game – sold out

The City is our Campus invites you to cheer on the Cavs at their game versus the Sacramento Kings on Friday, January 23rd. Game time is 7:30pm. Transportation will not be provided to Rocket Arena. You must be a CSU student to register for a ticket. Tickets are on a first-come first-serve basis. This page will be updated once tickets are sold out. Go Cavs!

To register for this event, use our CSU Rec Member Connect app or the online portal at the top right-hand corner of this page. Login using your CSU email address that has your first initial and last name. Go to “Programs,” select ” The City is Our Campus,” and select “Show Programs.” Register for “Cavs vs Kings Game 1/23/26” and click “Confirm Registration.” Email Graduate Supervisor Kaitlyn at k.boellner@vikes.csuohio.edu with any questions.

Horticulture Tours

Want to see what types of plants we have on campus? Want to get your steps in? Want to go on a guided tour of campus with some friends or classmates? Join Tour lead, Tropical Tim for a Horticulture Tour around campus. During this walk, you will learn about different types of plants on campus led by the person who knows them best, Tim! Horticulture Tours will be scheduled based on request. Please keep in mind that these must take place before 1:00 pm if you would like to schedule a tour. Do you have a favorite part of campus?
