How Do I Purchase Personal Training Services?

  1. You can purchase personal training services with cash or credit card at the Pro Shop, or by calling 216.802.3201 (credit card only).
  2. Email a personal trainer directly based on availability or send us a message online.
  3. If you do not receive a response from a trainer within 2 business days, please email Katie Blodorn at
  4. Before your first session/assessment, be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out a Personal Training Client packet located at our Pro Shop.

NOTE: If a physician’s clearance is necessary based on your responses to the health history questionnaire, no personal training sessions will take place until the physician’s clearance form has been received.

First-Time Client? Welcome!

We’re glad to have you as a new personal training client! You’re in great hands with our trainers who will develop an excellent personalized training program to meet your needs and goals. To do so, the first session with your trainer will be a fitness assessment that consists of various postural evaluations, movement screenings, fitness tests, and body composition measurements, as well as a discussion about the specific goals you’d like to achieve through your sessions. Your trainer will then use this information, along with the information you provided in your personal training client packet, to build your training program.

Equipment Orientation

For many newcomers, stepping into a gym can feel daunting. It’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed by the array of machines and exercises available at the Rec Center. We understand these apprehensions, and we’re here to help.

We offer a supportive environment where members and students can gain confidence and knowledge under the guidance of our experienced Personal Trainers. During these sessions, participants will be led through the facility, learning how to properly utilize machines, execute exercises with correct form, and ultimately feel empowered to navigate the gym independently.

  1. Open CSURec Member Connect App. Click here if you don’t have the app registered.
  2. Go to “Programs”.
  3. Select “Premium Fitness & Wellness” category and tap on “Show Programs”.
  4. Find and choose “Equipment Orientation” and tap on “Signup”.
  5. Complete registration steps.

Programs that can Be Done at Home or in the Gym!


Looking for extra motivation to get your workouts in? CSU REC is now offering 4, 6, and 8-week Cardio and Strength training programs that can be done completely at home. These programs are created by a Certified Personal Trainer, with your health and wellness goals in mind. Both programs, Cardio and Strength Training, are designed to be done on their own, or in combination with each other.

Not only will you receive your weekly workouts, but your program also includes:

  • Goal Setting and Goal Adherence Activities
  • Nutrition education including how to track macronutrients, the importance of healthy eating, and more!
  • Stress Management
  • and various other wellness resources!

These Fit At Home programs will guarantee success in your fitness journey. Health is more than just working out, and this program aims to develop other healthy habits along the way. The program can be repeated once completed, or you can reach out to CSU Rec to schedule with a Certified Personal Trainer!​​​​​​​
