Horticulture tours

Want to see what types of plants we have on campus? Want to get your steps in? Want to go on a guided tour of campus with some friends or classmates? Join Tour lead, Tropical Tim from the Grounds Crew for a Horticulture Tour around campus. During this walk, you will learn about different types of plants on campus led by the person who knows them best, Tim!

Horticulture Tours will be scheduled based on request. Please keep in mind that these must take place before 1:00 pm if you would like to schedule a tour. Do you have a favorite part of campus? We can make sure to visit that area on the tour! Contact Kaitlyn Boellner at k.boellner@vikes.csuohio.edu to schedule a Horticulture Tour today!

Check out what trees we have on CSU’s campus virtually by visiting the Grounds Department’s fantastic resources including a Tree Tour, a Virtual Herbarium, a Map of all Plants on CSU’s campus, and the Original CSU Tree Tour of campus.

Edgewater beach cleanup

University Recreation and Wellbeing is partnering with the Alliance for the Great Lakes’ Adopt-a-Beach program once again to help keep Cleveland beaches clean! We will be co-hosting a beach cleanup at Edgewater Beach on Saturday, October 12th from 9 am to 2 pm. Meet at the parking lot by the beach house nearest to the large blue trash receptacles. Look for the RoboVan! Participants do not need to bring their own gear. Transportation will not be provided to the beach. Join us in keeping Edgewater Beach clean!

Register for this event by using the CSU Rec Member Connect App or our Online Portal. Login, then go to “Programs,” select “Adventure Recreation” as the category. Click “Show Programs,” select “Edgewater Beach Cleanup” and then hit the “Sign Up” button. Reach out to Graduate Supervisor Kaitlyn at k.boellner@vikes.csuohio.edu with any questions about this event.
