The structure of our programs provides a clear goal, built-in accountability to help keep you on track, and a fun experience that will both challenge and empower you to achieve success.
Open Paddle Workshops
Open paddle sessions in our pool is the perfect place to try or practice stand up paddle boarding and/or kayaking!
CPR & First Aid Certifications
Learn these important skills that can save a life, and be prepared to act in the event of an emergency.
Fit at Home
4, 6, and 8-week cardio and strength training programs that can be done completely from the comforts of home.
Learn to Swim
From preschoolers to adults, just about anyone can learn to swim!
Lifeguard & Water Safety Certifications
Learn the skills needed to become an American Red Cross-certified lifeguard or instructor.
Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons are great for swimmer of all ages who are looking for specialized or individualized swim instruction.
Virtual Rec
Stay active even when you’re not at the Rec! Virtual Rec has tons of resources to keep your body and mind active and vital from home.
Sport Clubs & Leagues
Friendly competition, good sportsmanship, and a team atmosphere embody our intramural sport and sport club programs.
Youth Programs
Our camps and youth programs give kids the opportunity to learn sports, play games, get creative with crafts, and make new friends.
Staff Development Funds
Are you a Cleveland State faculty or staff member interested in some of our premium programs and services? You can enjoy F45, personal training, and massage at no cost using the development dollars you have as a benefit of working for CSU each semester.
Checkout the guidelines and fill out the form and we add the program to your CSU Rec account. You don’t have to be a member to take advantage of this benefit.
Step 1 – Fill out development form (within first three weeks of semester, if possible) and select program(s) and service(s)- F45, Personal Training and/or Equipment Orientations, group fitness pass ($150), Vikes Swim, Swim Lessons, CPR/AED Training ($50), or massage therapy.
Be specific – ex. two – 5 packs of 60-minute deep tissue massages. Dates and times are TBD and by appointment only. Please visit specific pages for each program.
Step 2 – Have your Supervisor sign the form and email Michelle Rieger at m.m.rieger@csuohio.edu
Step 3 – Our staff will add your selected program to your CSU Rec account and email you back with next steps.
Step 4 – Enjoy your wellness program and be sure to fill out a form every semester moving forward!
You have $5,250.00 per calendar year which is equivalent to 8 academic credits. A new form should be filled out each semester – Falls, Spring, and Summer/ 3x per year. All packages and services will expire at the end of six months after purchase.
