Our mission is to enrich CSU and Cleveland communities by providing a comprehensive and innovative collection of wellness resources, activities, and opportunities for everyone, regardless of skill, ability, age, or any other factor. The CSU Rec Center is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors. Research continues to show that academic and professional success is positively impacted by healthy-living habits that include regular exercise, mindfulness practices, social activities, and nutrition, among others. We dedicate our services to providing the support and resources necessary to help you achieve your wellness goals. As a premier wellness institution in downtown Cleveland, we are uniquely positioned to support this lifestyle of wellbeing and have been doing so since 2006. We strive to create a campus community where everyone can thrive. Efforts to achieve our mission include:

Offering a variety of fitness classes, programs, and events for all ages and interests.

About University Recreation & Wellbeing

In addition to being a Cleveland-area small business, we also comprise a robust university department – University Recreation and Wellbeing. As stewards of Cleveland State University, we are dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing and campus experience of the CSU community, serving as an exceptional campus partner, and contributing to CSU’s growth and advancement. Through a foundational and ambitious collection of goals and objectives informed by the CSU 2.0 initiative, our department is working to establish ourselves as a leading comprehensive wellness brand, elevate our status as a support service for students and the CSU community, and emerge as both an “anchor” and “beacon” department for the university.
